A Bit Different

If you’ve been to Malaga several times and want something different and unique to do why not choose A Cooking Day. A cookery day with a Malaga local, Maite who speaks excellent English. She will collect you from the port and whisk you inland to her family farmhouse and you will gather fresh ingredients from her vegetable garden, cook and eat together.

What about a Hammam Al Andalus experience. A unique, sensual massage and cold, tepid  and hot Arab Baths to cleanse both body and mind right in the heart of old town Malaga.

Luxurious Driving Tour of Andalucía

Spain is a large and beautiful country, and Andalucía is arguably one of its greatest regions, framed by the Mediterranean Sea to the south, and with a wealth of historic landmarks and white sandy beaches.  Andalucía is an ideal location to explore by car, and when that car is a luxury car, you will find that you enjoy the journey as much as the destination.

Malaga is a great place to start and is a typical Andalucian town, offering interesting historical and cultural attractions in its old city and with more museums than any other town in Andalucía, it has plenty to keep visitors entertained.  Located on the Costa del Sol, take a short drive to the luxurious resort of Marbella before heading northeast towards Granada. Choose the shorter inland route via Antequera, that takes you through miles of rolling olive groves, or the longer coastal route via Motril, a journey that will give you about two and a half hours of pure driving fun along the picturesque coastal road.

Granada is most famous for the magnificent Alhambra, a stunning Moorish monument that is both fortress and palace, set within beautiful gardens and considered to be one of the great architectural treasures of Europe.  Facing the Alhambra is the historic labyrinthine casbah or “medina” of Albaicin, where narrow streets lead you on a journey through its Moorish history.

From Granada, take to the road again and drive 260km west along the A-92 highway to Seville, the capital of Andalucía.  Situated on the banks of the Guadalquivir River, Seville was once a prosperous port city and evidence of its rich history is visible across the city.  The huge cathedral, the Moorish palace of Real Alcázar and the magnificent Plaza de Espana are major attractions, not to mention traditional flamenco and excellent tapas.

From Seville, take the road south back towards Malaga via Ronda, enjoying the scenic route, through the famous white villages.  Just 120 km south of Seville and 105 km east of Malaga, Ronda perches dramatically on either side of the Tajo Gorge.  Take a drive across the deep ravine, El Tajo along the grand Puente Nuevo  bridge and explore the historic Moorish centre.  With excellent roads and spectacular scenery, driving in Spain is one of the best ways to enjoy its magnificent landscapes and rich history.  Europe Luxury Car Hire has a superior selection of luxury rental cars in Spain and locations across Europe.
