La Dehesa Experiencia is in a private reserve within a starlight destination in the Sierra Morena, Córdoba. Nature abounds, silence hangs on the stillness and relaxing just happens. Peace reigns and calms the soul in this bit of Andalucia far from the beach bars and noisy coastal strip or the fabulous and famous three Moorish cities of Cordoba Granada and Sevilla. Although Cordoba city is a 40 minute drive away.
Exclusive cabins and pods each with a private dip pool and privacy lures the senses to just – be. Each has proper beds, some two bedrooms, kitchen, shower room, living room and deck with loungers and settees as well as that private pool – a romantic getaway or an escape from activity enforces wind down time and those views……
Our stay was at the end of October, we were not tempted to use the pool except for a quick toe-test dip, but we did enjoy the evening on the deck, see the stars appear in the vast darkness with very little light pollution was a joy.
Of course if you want some activity there is walking, hiking, canoe and bike rental and of course star gazing with an expert available if you wish (must be booked in advance,) bird watching and if you´re very lucky this area is home to Lynx too.
La Dehesa Experiencia in its private 27 hectare reserve of holm oak forests, pine woods and olive groves is for roaming freely. Vehicles are not allowed within the area of the cabins and pods, an elctric golf buggy chauffers you to your accommodation and vice versa, a buggy is also used to deliver your breakfast on individual trays and dinner too if booked.
If dinner is required the fridge and cupboards have a range of local products, drinks and wine for you to help yourself, there´s a price list with tick boxes for you to add your comsumptions on.
Time stands still here as once it gets dark it is very dark and once day begins there are no curtains or blinds to keep out the light, nature bathing at its best. A great, relaxing escape.
