Malaga has a massive array of hotels to choose from, Grand Luxury to hostals and B&Bs, here we bring you the best of the best hotels in Malaga with Rooftop Pools for longer stay or one nighters.
Being near the train station means the four-star Barceló Malaga Hotel can be reached almost directly via train from the airport. The train stain is around tweny minutes walk from the historical centre of Malaga yet a modern shopping centre is on its doorstep. The Barceló Malaga, with 221 rooms, features modern decor with jolly tiled mosaics tiles and a steel sculpture slide, which is rideable, down to the lobby.
The gastrobar is a good place to eat whether staying at the hotel or not and the rooftop pool, gym and sauna make for a great escape for a longer stay or just an overnighter.
The 4* NH Malaga is the city centre´s biggest hotel with 225 rooms, so it´s always buzzing with events. It is found near the famous and must visit Atarazanas food market, a great treat for foodies and an experience for lunchtime eating.
Another one close to the train station so around 20 minutes walk from the main attractions. Great rooftop pool and terrace and it allows dogs and cats to stay.
Parador de Málaga Gibralfaro
Up on the hill next to Gibralfaro Castle, take the bus up and walk down, the Parador de Málaga Gibralfaro is all about location, location and with those views it´s hard to beat this particular spot. Stay at the hotel just a bus ride from town or just go up for a drink on the terrace as the views are hard to beat. The rooftop pool has of course even better views. With just 38 rooms, all with balcony, this is an easier place to chill than to constantly explore the city. It has, as do all Paradors, a good restaurant with Mediterranean cuisine and you´ll find many locals come here to escape the city hubbub and it has a huge advantage of having a car park, handy if you´ve hired a car.
Only YOU Malaga
The first of the Only YOU brand hotels, now a firm favourite with locals. A great place to stay too with its ground floor gastrobar or try the rooftop Lola Sky bar by the pool. This hotel is very central for exploring and being opposite the harbour near the beach and it´s great beach bars in season. If you want to window shop or see the Christmas Lights on Calle Larios then this gorgeous hotel is the spot for you.
