It’s always a pleasure to pay a return visit to a lovely location and Cortijo Sabila is a fabulous small hotel with stunning views. From the automatic front gate the drive sweeps up to an ample parking area, with views all around. If you’re lucky the family dogs will come and greet you and accompany you to the front door.
This modern cortijo with typical interior Andalusian patio is delightfully decorated with antiques and each bedroom is completely individual with gorgeous bathrooms and amenities. There are eight named rooms, some in the main house and some in the garden. Since our last visit three gorgeously decorated yurts are being added and will also be available soon.
Set apart from the town it’s very quiet and a car is needed, but also a necessity to be able to explore the stunning surroundings yet it’s only half an hour from Malaga and an hour Cordoba. This makes it a great base to explore inland then return to the hotel to relax and dine.
The dining room is elegant and cosy for both well-served and very good breakfast and/or dinner. For coffee retire to the comfortable large dining room complete with an open log fire in winter or outside al fresco in the hot summer months.
Charm reigns in this special location and peace reigns in the outside areas of which there are seven different gardens. Whether you want to sit and daydream, sunbathe in one of the relaxing spots in the spacious grounds or swim with those dramatic views it’s very difficult not to relax in here in the Andalusian sunshine.
Whether you want a couple’s break, an adult-only hotel, a family get together or a small wedding – a warm welcome awaits you at Cortijo Sabila.
