The Gran Hotel Elba Estepona & Thalasso Spa in the lovely quiet bay on the edge of the very pretty, and my favourite, Costa del Sol town Estepona. Almost on the Cadiz border with views of the Rock of Gibraltar across the calm waters. The gorgeous gardens open onto a lovely beach you might find you don’t want to leave the hotel and explore much futher. But if you do Estepona is a lovely, and rather incredibly not too touristy for a Spanish coastal town.
The Gran Elba has lovely indoor and outdoor pools and to top the experience a fabulous Thalasso Spa. My husband and I enjoyed it completely to ourselves after breakfast one morning. There’s also a great gym for those you wish to do more than relax.
For a touch of luxury not far from the maddening coast around Malaga, and a small unspoilt coastal town The Gran Hotel Elba is an ideal escape in the sun.
